On October 26, 2023, the official welcome ceremony for the Korean Government Scholarship Program for Oversea Government Railway Staffs was held in the main conference hall of Woosong University. The ceremony, hosted by the chief administrative officer Park Young-kwang, was graced by the presence of various member organizations such as Korea Railway Association, Korail, and the Korea National Railway Corporation.

In addition to the president and vice-president of Woosong University, the ceremony was attended by the head of the Korean Government Scholarship Program for Oversea Government Railway Staffs and other distinguished guests who welcomed the trainees. The event began with congratulatory speeches from the president of Woosong University and the president of the Korea Railway Association, followed by a response from trainee representative Threewat Jaipetch, and self-introductions from each trainee. The event concluded successfully with a group photo.

Starting from 2023, the 6th Korean Government Scholarship Program for Oversea Government Railway Staffs, conducted by Woosong University, aims to foster friendly global railway talents based on the excellent railway technology of Korea until the trainees depart in August next year.
