On April 25, 2024, trainees from the Woosong University Global Railway Training Program visited Incheon Transit Corporation for an in-depth on-site learning experience. The visit was designed to provide the trainees with firsthand insights into the core operations and key facilities of Incheon's transit system, enhancing their understanding of Korea's transportation infrastructure.

The visit commenced at 1:00 PM in the 3rd floor conference room of Incheon Transit Corporation's headquarters. The first session featured a welcome address by the management, followed by an introduction to the corporation’s overall operations and strengths. Afterward, a gift exchange ceremony and group photo were conducted, allowing the trainees to appreciate the corporation's achievements and ongoing projects.

The next part of the visit involved a briefing in the Comprehensive Control Center. The trainees received detailed explanations on the operations of the control rooms for Lines 1 and 2. Divided into two groups, they then toured the control room, observing the real-time management of the transit system and gaining insights into how safety and efficiency are maintained within the network.

At 1:50 PM, the trainees boarded Incheon Line 2 at Incheon City Hall Station, traveling to the Unyeon Vehicle Depot. Upon arrival, they participated in a tour of the depot, where they were introduced to the processes of light and heavy maintenance. This hands-on experience allowed them to deepen their understanding of Korea’s railway maintenance technology.

The final part of the visit took place at the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) Promotion Hall in Songdo. Here, the trainees learned about the development strategies and economic significance of the IFEZ, exploring how transportation infrastructure, including railways, plays a critical role in the region's growth.

This visit to Incheon Transit Corporation provided the trainees with valuable practical experience in railway operations and management, reinforcing the importance of transportation infrastructure from a global perspective.
