[KGSP NEWS] Woosong University Global Railway Training Program Hosts Successful 3rd Network Conference in Yeosu 첨부파일

From May 21 to 23, 2024, the Woosong University Global Railway Training Program held its 3rd Network Conference in Yeosu, bringing together key figures from the global railway industry, academia, and domestic companies. The event, organized in collaboration with the Yeosu Railway Conference, aimed to foster international collaboration and support the expansion of Korea's railway industry into global markets.


The conference began with a welcoming ceremony where honored guests from the Korea Railway Association (Korass), various universities, and leading companies were introduced. Ms. Eunmi Lee, Director of the Export Supporting Center at Korass, emphasized the importance of global partnerships in her opening remarks, followed by a congratulatory speech from Vice President Yong Sang Lee of Woosong University. Both speeches highlighted the program’s role in bridging international railway professionals and fostering meaningful exchanges.




Throughout the conference, industry experts shared insights on the latest developments in railway technology. Presentations included discussions on technological advancements by Mr. Byung Dae Park of 2iSYS, innovations in railway machinery by Mr. Ki Nam Kim of Yujin Machinery, and engineering solutions for railway infrastructure by Mr. Jun Hyuk Lee of D2 Engineering. The conference also featured engaging presentations from international trainees, including Ms. Phitsuda Winyayen from Thailand and Mr. John Didimy Shirima from Tanzania, who shared their experiences and perspectives on their respective countries' railway industries.


The event concluded with a group photo and a networking session, providing participants with the opportunity to discuss potential collaborations and future projects. The 3rd Network Conference was a significant success, strengthening the network between domestic railway companies and global trainees, and paving the way for future cooperation in the international railway industry.
