Participants were equipped with safety swords and guided through basic techniques before attempting practical exercises like paper slicing and apple cutting. Outstanding performers were rewarded with Haidong Gumdo books and T-shirts, while Master Han personally signed the safety swords, turning them into treasured souvenirs. The program also catered to the participants’ diverse dietary needs with halal-friendly lunch boxes, ensuring inclusivity for trainees from countries such as Egypt, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan.
Closing the event, Oh No-kyun, President of the International Martial Arts Olympiad, and Yang Kyung-ho, representative of the Daejeon Jung-gu Archery Association, previewed upcoming cultural experiences, including Taekwondo and traditional Korean archery. The Haidong Gumdo program left participants deeply impressed, fostering cultural appreciation and camaraderie.
