On December 5, 2025, the 1st Networking Meeting for the Global Railway Training Program was successfully held, bringing together trainees, industry experts, and representatives from related organizations. The event aimed to promote knowledge exchange, strengthen international cooperation, and provide participants with insights into current railway development trends across different regions.

The meeting began with an opening session, followed by welcome remarks delivered by representatives from the Korea Railway Industry Association and Woosong University. Their speeches highlighted the importance of global collaboration in advancing the railway sector and fostering future professionals.

The first session focused on the current status and major projects of railway development in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Trainees from Laos, Indonesia, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates delivered presentations, sharing valuable perspectives on their respective countries’ railway systems and ongoing initiatives. In addition, a special presentation on Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) railway program was provided by an expert from the Export-Import Bank of Korea, offering participants a broader understanding of international railway cooperation projects.

Following the presentations, participants took part in a commemorative group photo session and a coffee break, which encouraged informal discussions and networking among attendees.
The second session featured one-on-one consultations and casual networking opportunities between trainees and participating organizations. This interactive segment allowed participants to exchange ideas, explore potential collaborations, and build professional connections.
The networking meeting served as a meaningful platform for sharing knowledge and strengthening partnerships within the global railway community. It is expected that such exchanges will contribute to the continued development of railway systems and foster long-term international cooperation.
