On March 26, 2026, the 2nd Networking Meeting for the Global Railway Training Program was successfully held at the Amid Hotel in Seoul. The event brought together approximately 80 participants, including trainees from 12 countries and representatives from domestic railway-related organizations and companies.
The meeting aimed to expand international cooperation and promote knowledge exchange by sharing the current status and major railway projects of participating countries, as well as introducing Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs.
The program began with an opening session and welcome remarks delivered by representatives from the Korea Railway Industry Association and Woosong University. This was followed by a group photo session to commemorate the occasion.
In the main session, trainees from four African countries—Ethiopia, Egypt, Tanzania, and Kenya—delivered presentations on their respective railway systems and ongoing development projects. These presentations provided valuable insights into the railway environments and future plans of each country, further enhancing mutual understanding among participants.

In addition, a presentation on Korea’s ODA programs was delivered, highlighting cooperation opportunities between trainees and Korean companies, as well as successful international project cases. The session offered practical information on how to promote collaborative railway development initiatives.
Following the presentations, participants engaged in a networking session, including a coffee break and one-on-one consultations. This interactive segment allowed trainees and industry representatives to exchange ideas, discuss potential partnerships, and strengthen professional networks.
The 2nd Networking Meeting served as a meaningful platform for fostering global railway cooperation and expanding opportunities for collaboration. It is expected that the knowledge and connections gained from this event will contribute to the advancement of railway systems in participating countries.
