On May 21, 2026, trainees of the 8th Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) for Overseas Government Railway Staffs at Woosong University visited 2ISYS Co., Ltd., a leading Korean company specializing in AI-based railway infrastructure inspection and predictive maintenance systems.
During the visit, trainees were welcomed by 2ISYS officials and received a comprehensive introduction to the company's core technologies, which combine advanced machine vision and ICT convergence to automatically inspect track and tunnel conditions in real time during train operations. The program included guided tours of the company's demonstration facilities, where trainees observed how high-speed imaging systems capture and analyze railway infrastructure data while trains are in motion.
The visit also featured detailed technical presentations on 2ISYS's flagship solutions, including AI-based track facility defect detection, catenary line inspection systems, and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) platforms that leverage real-time data analytics and IoT technology for predictive maintenance. Trainees learned how these systems are transforming traditional manual inspection methods into automated, data-driven processes — significantly improving railway safety and operational efficiency. The company also shared its international business experience, including the successful export of high-speed inspection vehicles to the Taiwan Railway Administration.
This visit was organized as part of the KGSP curriculum's technical field trip series, which is designed to bridge theoretical classroom learning with real-world industry practices. By exposing trainees from 12 partner nations — including Laos, Mongolia, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Kenya, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, and Panama — to Korea's leading railway technology companies, the program aims to enhance the professional skills and global perspective of railway officials and support railway modernization efforts in their home countries.
The KGSP Global Railway Training Program at Woosong University's Graduate School of Railway is supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), and continues to serve as a vital platform for knowledge exchange between Korea and partner countries in the railway sector.
